Synopsis

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COLD, COLD NIGHT It is a cold and snowy evening in Blüdhaven when Nightwing is on patrol and saves a young kid from drowning after breaking through an ice layer.   Next morning, Dick learns that Delmore Redhorn has returned as Chief of Police after Wallace Ebersol was murdered. Redhorn's press conference also angers Blockbuster because it seems that their alliance is over.   Despite having caught a cold after swimming in icy water, Dick goes to work i.e. being on patrol with Sergeant Rohrbach. They come across a case of domestic violence, but the female victim refuses to press charges against her boyfriend. Dick is pissed about that and decides to visit the boyfriend as Nightwing after his shift is over. He threatens the man and orders him to leave both his wife and the city forever. The man runs away and Dick thinks he got the message.  When Dick returns home, an ambulance is standing in front of the apartment building. John Law explains to him that Bridget Clancy was struck by an electric charge and that her heart stopped beating.   At the same time, Blockbuster has gathered a large group of villains he usually hires - his plan is to finally get rid of Nightwing. But he does not want them all to fight Nightwing, but instead Lady Vic and company shall be a test for his newest employee called Shrike ...
